Jessica Mills Counselling

Jessica Mills (She, her, hers) MSW, RSW My goal as a therapist is to empower you with an understanding of how your neurodivergent brain works and to support you in accessing your truest potential.

As a neurodivergent mom of two kiddos, I am deeply motivated to work within this community. I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent adults navigate the unique challenges of moving through a neurotypical world. I believe that we all have super hero strengths and sometimes we just need someone in the room to shine a light on them - so, get ready to throw on that cape.

My approach to working with individuals is dynamic:

I seek to be flexible and fun in working with individuals I steer clear of β€˜one size fits all’ thinking

I understand each of us as having a unique set of circumstances that leads us to seek support

My perspective is that all behaviour makes sense and although sometimes these behaviours can be harmful and outdated, historically they have served a purpose

My clinical work is informed by multiple evidence-based practices:

Attachment theory Wilderness Therapy IFS (Internal Family Systems) Trauma-informed Mindfulness Neuroscience research Somatic Experiencing

Other things about me:

I am also a runner and an enthusiast of all things outdoors. Prior to taking my MSW, I specialized in experiential education, wilderness therapy, substance use, and adolescent mental health. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Note: If you are looking to use extended health benefit coverage for sessions, check to confirm your provider covers RSWs.
